The Society for Korean Music Philology (http://www.newnonmun.com/institute=306)is a private organization established in 2008 to study Korean musicology, consisting of 19 regular members and 120 provisional members. It conducts research on the history of Daegu music and musicians including Park Tae-won who established the first city choir in Korea, and publishes the Journal of the Society for Korean Music Philology each year.
